Championing Campus Sports: A New Chapter in School–Enterprise–Association Cooperation
On May 9, 2025, LEADWISE took a significant step in promoting sports education integration by donating ¥20,000 worth of pickleball equipment to Zhuhai Gree School. The donation included serving machines, paddles, and training accessories, providing essential tools to kick-start structured pickleball training on campus.
This initiative underscores LEADWISE’s commitment to youth development, sports promotion, and corporate social responsibility in China’s fast-growing sports sector.
A Milestone Ceremony in Zhuhai
The equipment donation was part of a landmark event — the “School–Enterprise–Association Strategic Cooperation Signing and Donation Ceremony” — co-hosted by LEADWISE, Zhuhai Linghang Electric, Gree School, and the Zhuhai Pickleball Association.
During the ceremony, the parties jointly announced the establishment of Zhuhai’s first dedicated pickleball teaching and training base, co-built by educational, corporate, and sports association stakeholders. The project’s core vision is to “integrate sports and education to cultivate future talent.”
This initiative positions Zhuhai as a pioneer in collaborative sports-education programs, creating a blueprint for cities across China.
Why Pickleball? A Sport for All Ages
Pickleball — a hybrid of tennis, badminton, and table tennis — is increasingly popular among schools worldwide due to its:
-
Simple learning curve
-
Low equipment barrier
-
Fun, social gameplay
-
Physical and cognitive benefits for youth
By introducing pickleball into classrooms and PE programs, the Gree School is helping students improve their fitness, team spirit, and sportsmanship — all through a sport that is growing fast in China and globally.
A Model for Public–Private Collaboration
This three-party cooperation model (school–enterprise–association) reflects a rising trend in sustainable sports development. LEADWISE’s actions mirror efforts by global nonprofit organizations like Pickleball for the World, which donates equipment to under-resourced regions to spread the sport’s appeal.
“The value of this donation goes beyond equipment. It is an investment in youth health, educational enrichment, and the future of pickleball in China,” said a LEADWISE representative.
Looking Ahead: Inspiring the Next Generation of Players
With the new pickleball training base in operation, LEADWISE hopes to inspire a new generation of student athletes. As more students engage with the sport, Zhuhai’s youth sports culture is expected to flourish — and other cities may follow suit with similar partnerships.
